Viswanathan who has produced thousands of entrepreneurs

Today's appreciation:

I know a few friends who have taken up assignments after retirement and still would excel and give their best. One such friend is Mr. Viswanathan who retires today as Deputy Director in EDI, Govt. of TN. He was earlier GM in TIIC and and later worked in EDI leather cluster as Program Manager. He has been an inspirational model for many. He handles any kind of work pressure without showing it on others or on his face. He has produced thousands of entrepreneurs - which is a great service to the country and to the society at large. He is very systematic and very professional in his approach. He is very cordial to all fellow human beings. He is going abroad on a short break to be with his daughter's family. He may come back and take up another interesting assignment. I admire his sincerity and hard work wholeheartedly.

ஓய்வு பெற்று விட்ட பிறகு அடுத்த வேலைகளை ஏற்றுக் கொண்டு அதிலும் மிக சிறப்பாக, மிகுந்த உற்சாகமாக, கடின உழைப்பை வெளிப்படுத்தி ஒருவர் செயல்பட முடியுமா என்பது சந்தேகம் தான். அப்படி நான் அறிந்த நண்பர்களில் திரு விஸ்வநாதன் அவர்கள் இன்று தமிழ் நாடு தொழில் முனைவோர் மையத்திலிருந்து துணை இயக்குனராக இருந்து ஓய்வு பெறுகிறார். ஏற்கனவே TIIC நிறுவனத்தில் பொது மேலாளராக இருந்தவர் இவர். பிறகு EDI லெதர் துறையில் திட்ட அதிகாரியாகவும் இருந்தவர். ஆயிரக் கணக்கான தொழில் முனைவோர்களை உருவாக்கிய பெருமை இவருக்கு உண்டு. எப்போதும் புன்னகை, நிதானம், தொழில் ரீதியான தகவல் பரிமாறல், எதுவும் திட்டமிட்டு செய்தல் என்று எல்லா சிறப்பும் பெற்ற அதிகாரியாக பெயர் பெற்றவர். இவரது பணி நாட்டிற்கு நலம் சேர்த்த ஒன்றாகும். வெளி நாட்டில் இருக்கும் தனது மகளோடு சில மாதங்கள் இருக்க கிளம்புகிறார். ஓயாது உழைத்த இவருக்கு இந்த ஓய்வு மிக அவசியம். மனதார இவரை பாராட்டி மகிழ்கிறேன். இவர் போல அரசுப் பணியில் அதிகாரிகள் இருந்து விட்டால் நன்மைகள் பலருக்கு பெருகும். வாழ்க இவர் பல்லாண்டு.

Thiru Vengusaamy - serving selflessly to the society even after 80

Today's appreciation:

After retirement many people in Tamilnadu get struck to their easy chair and glued on to TV. May be some are helping their family. Hardly a few are engaged in some useful societal service (Karma Maargam). Some prefer to go for Bhajan, Pooja etc (Bakthi Margam). This gentleman namely Mr. Vengusaamy after retirement from Government service - for the past 23 years - works as a Volunteer in Public Health Centre, West Mambalam founded by Congressman Late Sri MC Subramaniam. Vengusaamy does not know to backbite, talk about people or incidents, he knows only to smile and serve. He is already 80+. He cooks his own food. He is an early bird. He does his pooja. One can find him in the traditional dress only. He also trains the next generation in administrative work. There are no forums who appreciates these kind of sincere people who work selflessly - and do not expect anything back from the society. I think he deserves complete appreciation today though I do not have the age to do it. With lots of respect and sincerity I wish him the best in life.
ஓய்வு பெற்ற பெரும்பாலான மக்கள் இன்று பேரன் பேத்தியுடன் நேரம் செலவு செய்கிறார்கள். டிவி பார்க்கிறார்கள். கோவில் செல்கிறார்கள். பார்க்கில் நடக்கிறார்கள். ஒத்த வயதினருடன் கதைக்கிறார்கள். வெகு சிலரே தனது வாழ்வை எதுவும் எதிர்பாராமல் பொது வாழ்விற்கு அர்பணிக்கிறார்கள். அவர்களுள் ஒருவர் தான் திரு வெங்குசாமி (வயது 80+) அவர்கள். அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து பூஜை விஷயங்களை முடித்துக் கொண்டு தனது சமையலை தானே செய்து கொண்டு சீக்கிரமே கிளம்புவது சமூகப் பணி ஆற்ற. எங்கு என்றால் காந்தியவாதி மறைந்த திரு எம் சி சுப்பிரமணியம் அவர்கள் தொடங்கி வைத்த பப்ளிக் ஹெல்த் சென்டர் எனும் மருத்துவமனைக்கு தான். இங்கு இவர் ஒரு தன்னார்வ தொண்டு ஊழியர். அரசுப் பணியில் இருந்து ஓய்வு பெற்று இப்போது இந்த சம்பளம் வாங்காத பணியில் இணைந்து 23 ஆண்டுகள் ஆகின்றன. தன்னலமற்ற இந்த சேவையை புன்னகையோடு செய்கிறார். அடுத்த தலைமுறை ஊழியர்களுக்கு தேவையான பயிற்சியும் அளிக்கிறார். எளிமை, பழமை, அன்பு, சேவையுணர்வு இவை தான் இவரது தாரக மந்திரங்கள். இவர் போன்றவர்களை எந்த அமைப்பு பாராட்டும் என்று தெரியவில்லை. இருப்பினும் இந்த முகநூல் பகுதியில் பாராட்டுவதில் மிகப் பெருமிதம் கொள்கிறேன். இவர் நீடு வாழப் பிரார்த்திக்கிறேன். இவர் போல ஓய்வு பெற்ற அடுத்த தலைமுறையினர் திட்டமிட வேண்டும் எப்படி தனது நேரத்தை மற்றவருக்கு செலவு செய்யும் ஒரு கர்ம யோகியாக இருக்க முடியும் என்று....! நீங்களும் வாழ்த்துங்கள் இப்படிப் பட்ட மனிதர்களை சந்தித்தால்.

Someone who is busy beyond his age and being useful to society

In late 70's Kalaignani Dr. Kamal Hassan sir did a mimicry song and also acted very emotionally under the director of KB sir. In that song lots of voices were there. One of the most important voices were from Kalaimamani Mr. Srinivasan (who worked in Railways in those days). He is now now 80+. His family is well known to many. His daughter is none other than Kalaimamani Girija Ramasamy who does Harikatha. His son is Lion Dr. Sekar ( a young boy who played mridangam in the opening scene of Apoorva Ragangal film for Actress Late Srividhya and recently also came as a CBI officer in Kolangal serial and now the in-charge of Stenographers Guild). The entire family have done something remarkable to this world. I recently met Mr. Srinivasan and introduced myself that I am his Son Dr Sekar's classmate in the college. He immediately recollected and blessed me. He in fact conducts Humour Club activities every month at Stenographers Guild, T. Nagar. I am pleasantly surprised to see such people who are very energetic and enthusiastic and doing something interesting and useful to the society irrespective of their age and other problems in life. I admire him with lots of respect today.

எழுபதுகளில் கலைஞானி டாக்டர் கமலஹாசன் அவர்கள் பாலச்சந்தர் சார் இயக்கத்தில் ரொம்ப உணர்ச்சி பூர்வமாக நடித்து பல குரல் பாடல் ஒன்று செய்து இருப்பார். அந்த பாடலில் பெரும்பகுதி குரல் பிரமிப்புகளை செய்தது கலைமாமணி திரு ஸ்ரீநிவாசன் (இப்போது 80+ வயது - ரயில்வே பணியில் இருந்து ஓய்வு) அவர்கள் தான். இவர் தம் மகள் பிரபல ஹரிகதை நிபுணர் கலைமாமணி கிரிஜா ராமசாமி. இவர் தம் மகன் லயன் டாக்டர் சேகர் அவர்கள் - எனது கல்லூரி வகுப்புத் தோழன் - அபூர்வ ராகங்கள் படத்தின் முதல் காட்சியில் ஸ்ரீவித்யா அவர்களுக்கு மிருதங்கம் வாசிப்பார். பிறகு அண்மையில் கோலங்கள் தொடரில் சிபிஐ ஆபிசர் ஆக நடித்திருந்தார். தற்போது குறுக்கெழுத்து அமைப்பிற்கு தலைவராக உள்ளார். அண்மையில் திரு ஸ்ரீநிவாசன் அவர்களை சந்தித்து டாக்டர் சேகர் அவர்களின் நண்பர் என்று அறிமுகம் செய்து கொண்ட போது நினைவு கூர்ந்து என்னை மிகவும் வாழ்த்தினார். வயது வலி வேதனை வருத்தம் பாராமால் இன்னும் துரு துருவென்று ஏதாவது உபயோகமாக செய்து கொண்டிருக்கும் இவரை பாராட்டமல் இருக்க முடியவில்லை. தற்போது இவர் சென்னை தி நகரில் சிரிப்பரங்கம் மாதம் தோறும் நடத்தி வருவதாக சொன்னார். வாழ்க இவர் தம் அரும்பணி. 

A man with multiple skills - very handy

Our country is completely short of skilled people. Especially it is difficult to find right person for a right job. We are not able to identify someone who can resolve some trivial and minor issues related to plumbing, masonry and carpentry work. Whenever we have some problems to be resolved at home we wait at least for 3 to 4 days as these kind of skilled people are busy elsewhere. Moreover they look for major work where there is big money involved. Even if we find a person, there is no guarantee that the problem may not repeat as some of them do things on a trial and error basis. Very fortunately we know one person who is reasonably old and also experienced. His name is Ramalingam. He knows carpentry, plumbing and masonry. Moreover he is reliable. Though one may find him expensive, his work is always very neat, tidy and quick as well. He was in action today in our house. I admire his special skills and competence. வீட்டில் நமக்கு சில வேலைகள் உடனடியாக அதே சமயம் நம்பகமாக, அதிக செலவில்லாமால், சுத்தமாகவும் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்ற சூழலில் சரியான ஆள் கிடைப்பதில்லை. குறிப்பாக ப்ளம்பர், கார்பெண்டர், கொத்தனார் வேலைக்கு சரியான ஆள் கிடைப்பதில்லை. எங்கள் வீட்டிற்கு அழைத்த உடன் வராவிடிலும் வந்தால் சரியாக, வேகமாக, ஓரளவுக்கு ஞாய செலவில் மூன்று விதமான சில்லறை வேலைகளையும் செய்து தருவது வயதில் மூத்தவரான ராமலிங்கம் தான். அவருக்கு ப்ளம்பிங், கார்பெண்டரி, மற்றும் கொத்தனார் வேலைகள் தெரியும். இன்று எங்கள் வீட்டிற்கு வந்து மூன்று மணி நேரத்தில் எத்தனை வேலைகளை நேர்த்தியாக செய்து தந்தார் என்று பார்த்த போது என்னால் அவரைப் பாராட்டாமல் இருக்க முடியவில்லை. அடுத்த சில வருடங்களில் நமக்கு இந்த வேலைகள் செய்ய ஆளே கிடக்கப் போவதில்லை. அப்படியே கிடைத்தாலும் அவர் தம் கூலி மிக அதிகமாகத் தான் இருக்கும் என்பதில் எந்த சந்தேகமும் இல்லை. ராமலிங்கம் போன்ற கைவேலை தெரிந்தவர்களை மனதார பாராட்டுகிறேன். இவர் நம்பர் : 08939341965

Work hard when you are young to relax and enjoy later

Mr. Gangadaran started his small provision stores in the year 1957. He names it as Raja Provision Stores. Opposite to his shop his brother also starts a similar shop and names it is as City Provision Stores. There were no significant improvements in the area as people were of middle class or lower middle class. Slowly the place started to become a happening place as lots of Banks opened their branches. Some people took risk of building flats. Some opened new shops around. Gangadaran got his son married and built his own big house. In the mean time his brother sold off his property and vanished. His son changed the entire scene by renaming the entire business as Raja Shoppe and made it as a Supreme Super Market. Though Reliance, Nilgiris and other few Super Markets exist in this area ( West Mambalam) this super market is always a crowded place - the reason is the experience people get while shopping due to range, price, service, good people to serve and the ambiance. Now Gangadaran is 80+ and is a realxed man. Hard work at the early age/stage surely pays. One can relax and enjoy peace and freedom if life is planned well. I admire this wonderful entrepreneur.
சிறு வயதில் கஷ்டப்பட்டால் வயதான காலத்தில் அமர்ந்து அனுபவிக்கலாம் என்பது வெறும் கூற்று அல்ல என்பதை நிரூபிப்பது 80 வயதை தாண்டிய திரு கங்காதரன் அவர்கள். 1957 ஆம் ஆண்டு ராஜா ப்ரொவிஷன் ஸ்டோர் எனும் மளிகைக் கடையை ஆரம்பிக்கிறார். நடுத்தர மக்கள் வாழும் ஒரு ஏரியாவில் தொடங்கப்பட்டதால் மற்றும் தனது சொந்த சகோதரனே எதிரே ஒரு கடை போட்டதாலும் எந்த முன்னேற்றமும் ஏற்படவில்லை. இருப்பினும் விடாமுயற்சி, கடின உழைப்பு, சிறந்த சேவை இவற்றை மந்திரங்களாக கொண்டு தனது மகன் திருமணத்திற்கு பிறகு தமது எண்ணங்களும் முயற்சிகளும் வீண் போகவில்லை என்பது நிரூபணம் ஆனது. இன்று நீல்கிரிஸ், ரிலையன்ஸ், போன்ற மிகப் பெரிய சூப்பர் மார்க்கெட் வந்த பிறகும் அதிக கூட்டம் வருவது ராஜா ஷோப்பே எனப்படும் இவரது கடைக்கு தான். காரணம் இவரது கடையின், ரகம், தரம், சூழல், வாங்கும் அனுபவம், சிறந்த சேவை ஆற்றும் நபர்கள் என்று அடுக்கிக் கொண்டே போகலாம். எப்போதும் கூட்டம் நிறையும் இந்தக் கடையில் தலையிடாமால் அவ்வப்போது வந்து பார்த்து திருப்திப் படுகிறார் பெரியவர். பொறுமை, குறிக்கோளில் தெளிவு, ரிஸ்க் எடுக்கும் துணிவு இருந்தால் வெற்றி நிச்சயம் என்பதற்கு கங்காதரன் அவர்கள் மிகப் பெரிய உதாரணம். இவரைப் பெரிதும் போற்றி பாராட்டுகிறேன். நம்ப முடியவில்லையா. மேற்கு மாம்பலம் வந்து இந்த கடைக்குள் நுழைந்து பாருங்கள். உண்மை புரியும். திட்டமிட்டு இவர் போல் முன்னுக்கு இன்று வர வாய்ப்புகள் அதிகம். நோ புலம்பல்ஸ்.

Entrepreneurs are important in this country

In the present moment of inflation, it is difficult to go for a simple job if one is not qualified enough. At the same time people do not have enough guts to be on their own. It is in fact very rare to see our parents asking to manage a small business - that too after investing. Joseph for the past 22 years is managing an Aavin retail booth - he keeps all Aavin products including milk, butter and ghee. He starts his business at 6 am every day and takes a break at 1 pm. Again he starts at 3 pm to end the business at 9 pm. At the end of the day he may not have made big money. Yet he is independent. He is very much respected especially when people stand in queue to procure Butter when stocks do not come in plenty. He rarely smiles...but keeps continuing for the sake of running his family. I admire him for whatever hardwork he puts. His perseverance is to be appreciated. Let his business flourish with Lord's grace.

எத்தனை பெற்றோர் வேலைக்கு போகாதே. வியாபாரம் செய் என்கிறார்கள். வியாபாரம் என்றாலே ரிஸ்க் தானே. இருப்பினும் 22 ஆண்டுகளாக ஜோசப் ஆவின் பொருட்கள் விற்கும் சிறு கடை வைத்துப் பிழைப்பு நடத்துகிறார். காலை தினமும் 6 மணிக்கு தொடங்கி 1 மணி வரை, மீண்டும் 3 மணி முதல் இரவு 9 மணி வரை தனது கடையை திறந்து வைத்து வியாபாரம் செய்கிறார். அலுப்பும் சலிப்பும் இருப்பினும் வீட்டில் அடுப்பு எரிய வேண்டுமே...சிரிப்பு குறைவாய் இருப்பினும், கடையின் இருப்பு பொருத்து இவர் மனநிலை மற்றும் பணநிலை அமைகிறது. குறிப்பாக வெண்ணை ஸ்டாக் குறைவாக வரும் போது ஜோசப் தான் ஹீரோ. எல்லோரும் க்யுவில் நின்று இவரை காக்கா பிடிப்பதை பார்த்திருக்கிறேன். இவரது அயரா உழைப்பும் விடா முயற்சியும் நிச்சயம் பாராட்டிற்கு உரியது என்பதால் இவரை இன்று போற்றுகிறேன். வாழ்க இவர் தம் பணி.

For Ritual and Spiritual - Here is guy who is 86 not out

He is 86 years young. Has three sons and a daughter. He sells a few spiritual/ritual items in front of the famous "Ayodhya Manadapam" for so many years. His name is Srinivasan. I always buy a few things from this elderly gentleman. He keeps smiling. When he delivers the items he would bless people and give. He wants to be on his own even at this age. He is available in the morning, evening and upto 8 in the night. People of the previous generation are self-reliant. They are mentally strong. He is involved with God's own job. Many souls are helping him. He also helps people to perform 'ceremony' on Amavasya in the platform itself. I admire this person with lots of respect.
நான்கு குழந்தைகள் இருக்கும் 86 வயது மனிதர் ஸ்ரீநிவாசன் அவர்கள் அயோத்யா மண்டபம் வாசலில் பிளாட்போர்ம் கடை போட்டு தர்பை, பஞ்சாங்கம், மாங்கல்ய சரடு போன்ற பொருள்களை பல ஆண்டுகளாய் விற்று வருகிறார். யாரையும் சார்ந்து இருக்காமல் சுயமாக இருக்கும் இவருக்கு சிரிப்பும் சேவையும் சாஸ்திரமும் மட்டுமே தெரியும். சிறப்பு பிதிர் தினங்களில் வந்து கேட்டுக் கொண்டால் தர்ப்பணம் செய்து வைப்பார். மற்ற படி இவர் விற்கும் பொருட்களை ஆசி கூறி தான் வழங்குவார். சென்ற சந்ததியை சேர்ந்தவர்கள் மன உறுதியோடு நம்பிக்கையோடு இருப்பதை காண முடிகிறது. நல்ல மனிதர்களும் போய் விட்ட ஆத்மாக்களும் இவரை வாழ்த்துகின்றனர். இவரை போற்றி வணங்கி நன்றி பாராட்டி மகிழ்கிறேன். இவர் பணி சிறக்கட்டும்.

Man with 'dog'ged determination

We see lots of articles in the recent past about street dogs. It is all in the negative side only. Here is the positive side - an outlook by an ex-Banker - Mr. Janakiraman - retired from Central Bank of India - a resident of Mahadeva Street, Chennai 33. He just helped one dog which came to his house on a rainy day. Then the real work started. He along with his wife walk across a few streets around with couple of bags - full of milk, curd rice, bread and biscuits. When he stops all the street dogs would stop and completely listen to his command. They would behave with 100% discipline. He does this selfless service for over 15 years along with his wife. I have witnessed myself several times. He also reports when a dog is injured - to Blue cross. He would sometimes take a sick dog to the nearest veterinary clinic and provide necessary treatment and drop the dog back in its own place. These days people are reluctant to serve their own parents if there is not going to be any benefit sooner or later. I am amazed to see this couple who do this service without any publicity. He has kept water and some food grains outside his house for other creatures as well. He clearly told me "please highlight the work and not me". He did not want to share his number. I just do not appreciate this man but salute him. May God bless him with good health and harmony.

பெற்றவர்களை மற்ற சுற்றங்களை பேணிக் காக்க யோசிக்கும் இந்த கால கட்டத்தில் தெருவில் ஒரு நாய் பசியோடு இருப்பது பொறுக்கமால் கடந்த 15 ஆண்டுகளாக பால், பிரட், சாதம், பிஸ்கட், இவை எல்லாம் இரண்டு பைகளில் வைத்துக் கொண்டு 4 அல்லது 5 தெருக்கள் அலைந்து தனது மனைவியோடு சென்று தெரு நாய்களுக்கு உணவளித்து வருகிறார். அண்மையில் தெரு நாய்களால் வரும் தொல்லைகள் பற்றி நிறைய செய்தி வர ஆரம்பித்தது. வங்கிப் பணியில் இருந்து ஓய்வு பெற்று விட்ட திரு ஜானகிராமன் தம்பதியர் இந்த மகத்தான சேவை தனை விளம்பரம் இன்றி செய்து வருவதை என் கண்ணால் கண்டு வியந்து உள்ளேன். அடிபட்ட நாய் தனை கண்டால் அதற்கு மருத்துவ உதவி செய்தல், நோய் இருக்கும் நாயை மருத்துவ மனை கொண்டு சென்று வைத்தியம் பார்த்து மீண்டும் அது இருந்த இடத்திற்கே கொண்டு விடுகின்றார். தனது வீட்டு வாசலில் தண்ணீர், தானியம் இவை இதர ஜீவ ராசிகளுக்கு வைத்து மகிழ்கிறார். ஓய்வு பெற்ற பிறகு இப்படி கூட தனது நேரத்தை சிறப்பாக செலவழிக்க முடியுமா என வியக்க வைக்கும் இவர் என்னை புகழாதீர்கள். என் செயல் பற்றி, இந்த உதவும் தன்மை பற்றி வேண்டுமானால் எழுதுங்கள் என்று சொன்னார். அதன் அடிப்படையில் அவரது தொடர்பு எண் இங்கே தரப் படவில்லை. இவர் சேவை வாழ்க. இவரை பாராட்டி வணங்கி மகிழ்கிறேன். 

Guy who works with dedication and commitment

We submit or handover our costly vehicle to our driver, our children to the riksha-man to drop in the school, our body to the doctor or a beautician, our house to the servant maid, our kitchen to the cook, our money to the banker. In some way or other we are dependent and relying on people to take care of our life. We do not trust GOD and surrender unto him fully with our agony or problems - as we keep finding solutions ourselves using our intelligence. Our tailors or hair dressers would do better job if we do not thrust our ideas on them and leave it to them to use their expertise. I always trust Krishnamoorthy that way when I go for a hair cut. He knows definitely better than me as to how I would look with a particular hair style. There is a trust here - not explainable. He does a neat job and I always admire him and give a reasonable tips. I thank him in this moment for keeping me very smart and presentable.
நமது வண்டியை டிரைவரிடம், குழந்தையை ரிக்ஷா ஓட்டுனரிடம், உடம்பை மருத்துவரிடம், வீட்டை வேலை செய்பவரிடம், சமையல் செய்பவரிடம் சமையல் அறையை, நமது பணத்தை வங்கியிடம், என்று ஏதோ ஒரு விதத்தில் ஒப்படைக்கிறோம். இந்த ஒப்படைப்பு என்பது நம்பிக்கை அடிப்படையில் தானே..! அடுத்தவரை நம்பி தான் வாழ்கிறோம். சேர்ந்து இருப்பது, சார்ந்து இருப்பது வாழ்க்கை. இருப்பினும் நமது இன்னல்களை மனத்தாங்கல்களை எல்லாம் வல்ல ஒருவனிடம் ஒப்படைக்க நிச்சயம் யோசிக்கிறோம். எதுவும் சொல்லாமல் அவர் போக்கில் விட்டால் டைலரும், முடி வெட்டுபவரும் தமது பணியை மிகச் சரியாக செம்மையாக செய்வர். இது நிச்சயம். நாம் ஏதாவது சொன்னால் அது கெட்டுப் போகும். இந்த பரஸ்பர நம்பிக்கை வாழ்வில் அவசியம். இப்படி கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி எனும் முடி திருத்தம் செய்யும் அன்பரிடம் என் தலையை எந்த கண்டிஷனும் போடாமல் ஒப்படைப்பேன். என் மீது மிகுந்த அக்கறை கொண்டு பொறுப்போடு மிக அருமையாக அழகாக ஆக்கி அனுப்பும் அவருக்கு இயன்ற சன்மானம் கொடுத்து மகிழ்வேன். அவர் போன்ற நபர்களுக்கு எவ்வளவோ துயரங்கள். இருப்பினும் தனது வேலையில் கவனமாக இருக்கும் இந்த அன்பரை பெரிதும் போற்றி பாராட்டி மகிழ்கிறேன். பிறரை சிறப்பாக பிரதிபலிக்க வைக்கும் இவர் போன்ற நண்பர்கள் வாழ்க.

A man continues to smile for over 2 decades

It is rare to see someone who is working in the same position in an organization and yet behave and feel happy. Many people are getting bored of their position as father, mother or husbands where there are is no option. I see a guy whose name is Subramaniam. Always smiling, caring and Very responsible as well. He has been seeing others growing including the little ones. He is the school security guard or watchman of GRT Mahalakshmi  Vidyalaya since 1992. I have been seeing him since 1995 (I admitted my first daughter in the pre-school). It is all in the mind to keep the ‘self’ happy which is completely from within and no external force can bring in that….whereas it can get affected or reduced. If the job is being loved and done, obviously happiness prevails. I see Subramaniam as a great and inspiring example for this. I wish him happiness throughout. I admire him today. I also pray for his peace of mind, harmony and good health apart from prosperity.
அப்பா, அம்மா, கணவர் அல்லது மனைவியாக இருப்பதே சிலருக்கு அலுத்துப் போகிறது என்பதை சில சமயம் மனநல ஆலோசகராக காண்கிறேன். ஆனால் ஒரே வேலை - அதுவும் சுவாரஸ்யம் அதிகம் இல்லாத வேலை - பள்ளிக்கூட செக்யூரிட்டி வேலை பார்க்கும் சுப்பிரமணியம் அவர்கள் 1992 முதல் GRT நடத்தும் பள்ளியில் வேலை பார்க்கிறார். என் மகளை 1995 ல் அந்த பள்ளியில் சேர்த்து விட்டதால் அவரை பல வருடங்களாக அறிவேன். சுப்பிரமணியம் அவர்களை பார்த்து வியந்து போகிறேன். ஆரோக்கியமாகவும், அன்பாகவும், ஆனந்தமாகவும் இருக்கும் இவரை பெரிதும் மதிக்கிறேன். போற்றுகிறேன். அவரது நல்வாழ்விற்கு பிரார்த்திக்கிறேன். இவர் போல் நிறைய பேர் இருந்து விட்டால் எல்லா நிறுவனங்களும் சிறப்பாக செயல்படும் என்பதும் உறுதி.

Divine person living his spiritual life after retirement

Due to fiscal reasons and recession many are being asked to go on VRS in Automobile industry and other industry as well. Generally anyone who comes out of VRS seeks another job or start a small business. But here is a guy namely Mr. Nagarajan, (he lives in Padhuka Apartments, West Mambalam - has two daughters - first one got married and the second one studying) has chosen a very different path - he has become completely spiritual. He is an ardent devotee of Mahaperiyava (Kanchi Seer). He does 'Unchavarthi' and collects Rice and cash at least twice or thrice in a month. On Anusha (Star of Periyavaa) he takes Periyavaa's idol to streets around. His friends who are like-minded support him in this cause. There will be Bhajan, Nadaswaram etc during the "swami purapaadu". Nagarajan also arranges prasadam for those involved in this cause. He distributes buttermilk, curd rice etc periodically to all those pass by in the street. This selfless man has fully dedicated himself in the service of Periyavaa. I appreciate him for his outstanding service.

பொருளாதார சூழலால் பல நிறுவனங்கள் விருப்ப ஓய்வில் செல்லும் திட்டம் கொண்டு வந்து பலரை வேலையை விட்டு அனுப்பி விட்டது. ஒரு மிகப் பெரிய ஆட்டோமொபைல் நிறுவனத்தில் இருந்து விருப்ப ஓய்வு பெற்று விட்டார் திரு நாகராஜன். இரண்டு பெண் குழந்தைகள் உண்டு இவருக்கு. ஒரு பெண்ணுக்கு திருமணம் செய்து வைத்து விட்டார். அடுத்த மகள் படித்துக் கொண்டு இருக்கிறாள். மனைவி ஒரு வேலையில் உள்ளார். பொதுவாக விருப்ப ஓய்வு பெறுபவர்கள் அடுத்த வேலைக்கு மனு போடுவர். அல்லது சின்ன ஒரு சொந்த பிசினஸ் தொடங்கி விடுவர். ஆனால் நாகராஜன் வித்தியாசமான ஒரு முடிவு எடுத்தார். காஞ்சி ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ மகாபெரியவா பக்தனாக இருக்கும் இவர் பெரியவாளின் அனுஷ நட்சத்திரத்தில் உஞ்சிவர்த்தி, பஜனை, சுவாமி புறப்பாடு, எல்லோருக்கும் பிரசாதம் என்று அக்கம் பக்கத்தில் உள்ள தெருக்களே அமர்க்களப்படும். இவரது சில நண்பர்கள் இவர் எடுக்கும் எல்லா முயற்சிகளிலும் இவருக்கு துணை நிற்கின்றனர். அடிக்கடி நீர் மோர், தயிர் சாதம் என போவோர் வருவோருக்கு வழங்கி மகிழ்கிறார். டொனேஷன் எதுவும் வசூலிப்பதில்லை. தனது வாழ்வின் ஒரு பகுதியை இறைப் பணிக்கு முழுமையாக அர்ப்பணம் செய்துள்ள நாகராஜன் அவர்களை எத்தனை பாராட்டினாலும் தகும். தன்னலமற்ற ஆன்மீக சேவை செய்து வரும் இவர் போல சிலர் இருப்பதால் தான் அவ்வப்போது மழை பெய்கிறது. வாழ்க இவர் பணி.

Man who works in silence

With two ears God has given, at times we hear certain unwanted things. With the beautiful mouth/tongue we speak and hurt people unknowingly or unintentionally. Normal persons want to practice 'silence' on selected days or occasions. Many Gurus also advise the importance of 'silence'. Here is a guy who cannot speak or hear but knows only to serve. His name is Sankar. He works in Canara Bank for the past 16 years and in fact, he continues in the same branch (West Mambalam) for over a decade. He goes for cheque clearance. He can pass files and papers. He also supervises 'housekeeping'. What he feels within - we may not know - as he keeps smiling. He has not learnt to show his long face. He would make some noise which his colleagues understand. He too surely understands the instructions being given to him. He is a class 4 employee. I admire and appreciate this gentleman today - despite his physical challenge he manages his life so well. May God bless him with long life and inner peace
நாவினால் பேசி பிறரை காயப்படுத்துகிறோம். விரும்பாததை கேட்கிறோம். நாக்கும் காதுகளும் இருந்தும் சரியாக முறையாக பயன்படுத்தாத நம்மிடையே பேச முடியாத கேட்க முடியாத நபர்களும் உள்ளனர். அவர்களில் நான் பல ஆண்டுகளாக கண்டு வரும் திரு சங்கர் கனரா வங்கியில் பணியாற்றுகிறார். எப்போதும் புன்னகையோடு திரியும் இவர் மனதில் என்ன ஓடுகிறது என்று கண்டு உணர முடியாது. இருப்பினும் வங்கிப் பணிகளை மிகச் சிறப்பாக செய்து வருகிறார் - அதுவும் முகத்தை காட்டாமல். கிளியரிங் செல்வது, பைல்ஸ் கொண்டு சேர்ப்பது, வெளி வேலைகள் பார்ப்பது, கிளை சுத்தம் செய்வதை கண்காணிப்பது போன்ற பணிகளை செவ்வனே செய்து செய்யும் இவர் தனது பலவீனங்களை சாதகமாக்கி பச்சாதாபம் எதிர்பாராமல் சிறந்த வாழ்வு வாழ்கிறார். மிகச் சிறந்த ஒரு உதாரணமாக இவரை நான் பார்க்கிறேன். சென்னை மேற்கு மாம்பலம் கிளையில் பணியாற்றும் இவர் அங்கு வந்து போகும் ,முக்கிய வாடிக்கையாளர்களை நன்கு அறிவர். இவர் நல்ல உடல் ஆரோக்கியத்துடன் வாழ பிரார்த்தித்து இவரை மனதார பாராட்டுகிறேன்.
