Sachin – God says “God bye”
There are lots of testimonials about him and his achievements in the media by different personalities including cricketers – present and past.
There are also lots of list of what Sachin has not achieved in his career so far like: not scoring hundreds in both the innings, not scored high runs in one series, not scored 300 or 400 in one innings.
His humility, his passion, his never-ending drive to perform, his ability to manage fame, his continuous improvement traits, his smile like a child – make him all-time GREAT.
Sportsmen retire when they age as fitness is the issue. Politicians, Ministers, Advisors, Consultants, Advocates, Musicians, and Businessmen do not want to retire despite their age.
We are not allowing women of our house (wife, mother and mother-in-law) to retire even if they complain of their age.
As we age, we object too much, consult too long, adventure little, worry lot, complain lot, advise much, worry about the present and future generation, often lose fitness, lose memory and yet retain unwanted memory…!
People already talk about Sachin’s post-retirement before he is actually ‘retired’.
We do not plan our own life but worry about PM, President, Players and others and their age-problem.
Sachin is all time great without doubt and he is for sure one of the GODs of this country.
Let us just leave people to plan their LIFE in their own way and pace and the way they want.
Let us try to keep mum without trying to prove anything to anyone…!
