Bhajan saamrat Srivanjiyam Muralitharan

There are lots of people involved in Namasankeertanam these days. But here is a person who is involved in doing Bhajan (with Harmonium) for over 4 and half decades. He worked in the Central Government in the Gazetted Rank officer position and retired a couple of years ago. His name is Srivanjiyam Muralidhara Bhagavathar of Sriram Bhajan Mandali. His cousin brother used to be well-known in the field of Bhajan for over 7 decades and he is none other than Srivanjiyam Ramachandra Bhagavathar. Sri Muralidhara Bhagavathar has performed Pracheena Sampradaya Bhajan, Divyanamam, Daolotsavam and Sai Bhajans more than 25000 times across the country and abroad. His wife, son, brother and his wife, are all trained by him. His wife Srividhya's contribution in terms of support, help and willingness to support him with vocal support is highly commendable.He always used to have two three different groups under him (Seniors, Juniors, and women). So far he has trained over thousands of people taking up Bhajan singing in Chennai. He does not charge for teaching Bhajan. He also performs Bhajan in his house almost every second day. One can hear the Namasankeerthanam in his house on a daily basis. In fact I am very proud to say that I am one of his first set of disciples in my very young age. He used to conduct Grand Bhajan Carnival in Ayodhya Mandapam for over 8 years inviting Bhagavathars from all parts of the country. His melody and Bakthi Bhava can be relished without food, water and sleep. Such is his USP. I admire him on this day with lots of respect and sincerity. பக்தி பாடல் என்பது தொன்று தொட்டு நிலவும் ஒரு விஷயம். அதுவும் பிராசீன சம்பிரதாய பஜனை என்பது மிக பிரபலம் இன்று. ஆனால் கிட்டத்தட்ட 40 ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக ஸ்ரீவாஞ்சியம் திரு முரளிதரன் அவர்கள் சென்னையில் மத்திய அரசில் பெரிய பொறுப்பில் இருந்த படியே 25000 நிகழ்ச்சிகள் தனியாகவும், தனது குழுவோடும் (சீனியர், ஜூனியர் மற்றும் பெண்கள் என மூன்று) இந்தியா முழுதும் பயணித்து பாடி உள்ளார். அது தவிர வெளி நாடுகளிலும் தனது பஜன் நிகழ்ச்சிகளை வழங்கி உள்ளார். இவர் உருவாக்கிய சீடர் பட்டாளம் 1000 ம் மேற்பட்டது (நான் உட்பட - முதல் லிஸ்டில் நான் உள்ளேன்) இவரது மனைவி, மகன், தம்பி, தம்பி மனைவி என்று குடும்பமே பாடுவதில் வல்லவர்கள். இவரது மனைவி ஸ்ரீவித்யா அளித்து வரும் ஒத்துழைப்பு, பரிவு அளப்பரியது. தானும் பாடக் கற்றுக் கொண்டு பல நிகழ்வுகளில் தனது குரல் மூலம் தனது பங்களிப்பை வழங்கி வருகிறார். நிகழ்சிகளில் என்ன பாடல்கள் பாட வேண்டும் எனும் பட்டியல் தயாரித்தல், வெந்நீர், பால் என்று பணிவிடை செய்தல் சொல்ல வேண்டிய ஒன்று அல்ல. இவரது அண்ணன் முறை மறைந்த திரு ஸ்ரீவாஞ்சியம் ராமச்சந்திர பாகவதர் அபிநயம் பிடித்து ஆடுவதில் வல்லவர். திரு முரளிதரன் அவர்கள் ஹார்மோனியம் வாசித்த படி திவ்யநாமம், சம்பிரதாய பஜன், டோலோஸ்தவம், நாமாவளி பஜனை என்று பாடுவதில் வல்லவர். 9 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு இவர் க்ராண்ட் பஜன் கார்னிவல் என்ற தொடர் பஜன் நிகழ்வை நடத்தி தேசம் முழுவதும் உள்ள பாகவதர்களை அழைத்து விழா செய்து வந்தார். இன்று பலருக்கு பணி ஓய்வு பெற்ற பிறகு இலவசமாக பஜன் பாட கற்றுத் தருகிறார். இவர் இல்லத்தில் அடிக்கடி பஜன் நடப்பதுண்டு. இவரது பக்தி இழை ஓடும் மேலோடி குரலில் மயங்காதவர் கிடையாது. இவர் பாடினால் பசி, தாகம், தூக்கம், வலி தெரியாது. அப்படி ஒரு ஈடுபாடு இவரது பக்தி இசையில் உண்டு. இசை தவிர வேறு தெரியாது இவருக்கு. இவரது நிகழ்ச்சி பல பிரபலங்கள் இல்லங்களிலும் நடந்து உள்ளது. இன்று இவரைப் பாராட்டுவதில் மிகவும் மகிழ்வுறுகிறேன். இவருக்கு என் நன்றியையும் வணக்கங்களையும் சமர்ப்பிக்கிறேன். இவரை பாராட்ட, இவரை பஜன் செய்ய அழைக்க : 9444219724.
