Provision Stores can be found everywhere in every area. But hardly a few people take steps to improve and expand the business and change the ambiance. 'Risk Taking' is the greater ability one needs in business. 'Krishna Stores'  was started in the year 1974 in 7th Avenue Ashok Nagar, Chennai by Mr. V.Somasundaram. It has taken some 33 years for a change of strategy. The Y Gen Entrepreneur - his son S. Krishna (now 40) has taken the initiative of making the stores as a beautiful 'super market' matching to the recent trend from 400 sft to 1500 sft. He has computerized billing, CCTV control and appointed some 4 assistants. The USP in this shop is his personal touch, towering smile, quality products and availability of products in quantity, home delivery etc. He has let the outside space on rent for soup stall and sandwich - as the next door is an IIT class where huge young people come through out the day. That is not all - he knows not the customer alone - BUT the entire family. Krishna knows details of the family of almost every customer. He would inquire about them with genuine interest. That is amazing. Krishna is only 12th standard passed. His wife also helps at times to relieve him to break monotony. Krishna also takes his family on a holiday. He watches positive programs in TV channels. I appreciate this young guy to greater heights.
தந்தை செய்த தொழிலை மகன் இன்று செய்ய தயாரில்லை. ஆனால் சென்னை அசோக் நகரில் உள்ள கிருஷ்ணா சூப்பர் மார்க்கெட் (1974 ல் தொடங்கப்பட்ட போது 400 சதுர அடி - சின்ன மளிகை கடை) வயது காரணமாக திரு சோமசுந்தரம் தனது மகன் கிருஷ்ணாவிடம் தொழிலை ஒப்படைத்து சரியாக 7 வருடம் கூட ஆகவில்லை. கிருஷ்ணா அந்த சிறு கடையை 1500 சதுர அடி சூப்பர் மார்க்கெட் ஆக மாற்றி விட்டார் - அதிலும் கம்ப்யூட்டர் பில், சீ சீ டி வீ, 4 உதவியாளர்கள் என்று வியாபராம் விஸ்தாரம் செய்து விட்டார். வெளி இடத்தை சூப் ஸ்டால் மற்றும் சான்ட்விச் வியாபாரத்திற்கும் வாடகை விட்டு விட்டார். பக்கத்தில் IIT படிக்க பயிற்சிக்கு இளைஞர் பட்டாளம் நாள் முழுக்க வருவர். ரகம், தரம் இவை தாண்டி வாடிக்கையாளர் ஒவ்வொருவரின் குடும்ப உறுப்பினர்கள் பற்றி பிரத்யேகமாக அறிந்து வைத்து இருப்பதும் அவர்கள் பற்றி அன்போடு விசாரிப்பதும் தான் அவரின் நல்ல  குணம். 12வது மட்டுமே படித்து உள்ள கிருஷ்ணா மிகச் சிறப்பாக தொழில் செய்து வருகிறார். அறிவு பூர்வமான டிவி நிகழ்ச்சி மட்டும் பார்ப்பார். இவர் ஓய்வு எடுக்க இவர் மனைவி வந்து உதவுவார். கிருஷ்ணாவின் தொடர்புத் திறன் என்னை வியக்க வைக்கிறது. மாறாத புன்னகை, அமைதி, உடனடி சேவை, தேவை எனில் கல்லா விட்டு நகர்ந்து  வாடிக்கையாளர் அட்டெண்ட் செய்வது இவர் சிறப்பு. வளர்க இவர் மாண்புகள்.
